Verslag van de Mars voor het Leven - 8 december 2012

De sjofar klonk op het Plein: voorwaarts Mars!

Heere, uw hand was in het weer. U zond 7 december een sneeuwstorm, de dag vòòr de Mars voor het Leven, maar de zon scheen uitbundig op het Plein in Den Haag op zaterdag 8 december. Dank U dat U alles regeert. Psalm 2. De heidenen gaan tekeer. Maar U lacht om hun vertoon. Hoe durven ze uw kinderen te roven. U roept op tot bekering, want de rechtvaardige zal leven. Dank U wel dat aan het begin van de Mars de profeet Joël klonk over het Plein. Blaast de bazuin. En de sjofar klonk. Dank U wel. De harten van de meer dan duizend mensen met hun kinderen waren verenigd rondom U, de God van het leven. En al de niet geboren kinderen, geborgen als martelaren onder uw altaar in de hemel, waren verheugd, omdat het nu nog dichterbij is dat U hun onschuldig vergoten bloed wreekt. Dank U voor uw beloften.

Het werd een stille mars. Gebed stond centraal. De liederen schalden over het Plein om binnen te dringen in de kamers van de koningin, de ministers en de politici. Hoor, het woord des Heren. Bekeert u, want de komst van het koninkrijk der hemelen is nabij. Wij bemoedigden de dappere vertegenwoordigers van de SGP en de CU en zij bemoedigden ons. We hebben een God van wonderen. Daar heb je geen meerderheid voor nodig. O Heere God, doe een wonder in ons land. We bidden en we smeken U. Het is ook niet onze strijd maar de strijd des Heeren. Dank U wel. De gebedsleiders van Nederland liepen ook mee in de Mars en zij roepen op tot het gebed voor het leven. Er is hoop voor ons land. 

Geen wonder dat Petrus de profeet Joël moest lezen toen de Heilige Geest op de Pinksterdag, het grote feest, uitgestort werd. En dat geldt ook vandaag. We leven in de vurige verwachting van de wederkomst van Messias Jezus. Het hele Midden Oosten kookt. Alles draait om de stad van God, Jeruzalem. U beweegt en de wereld maakt zich op voor de laatste strijd in het dal van Armageddon en dan komt Messias Jezus in overwinnende macht en majesteit terug op de Olijfberg, net zoals Hij ten hemel is gevaren, om ons plaats te bereiden. We stonden op het Plein in de vurige verwachting van uw komst. We leven in profetische tijden. Lees de profeet Joël en je wordt steeds enthousiaster. De onrechtvaardigen zullen het licht niet zien. Zijn gaan ten onder. Zij vallen in één uur, als het grote Babylon dat valt in één uur. De Mars werd afgesloten met het Wilhelmus. Een profetischer lied voor ons tot op vandaag door het huis van Oranje gezegend land is niet te bedenken. Heere God, zegen onze koningin en haar huis.

Report of the March for Life - December 10, 2011

Everyone has the right to life, even unborn children
The annual March for Life was held in The Hague, the Netherlands. Participants from various denominations attended.
The shofar was blown at 1 o’clock, introducing post-abortive Astrid Mechielsen. She told the Marchers what her abortion had done to her. "It was not a solution, but the beginning of a big problem," she spoke with her son on her arm. After her welcome, blue balloons flew up to the sky.
Every year more and more people participate in the March for Life. Thus spreading the truth and raising a silent cry in remembrance of the lives of the large number of children who are not allowed to be born, said Mr. Dorenbos of Schreeuw om Leven/Cry for Life. In his prayers he thanked the Lord for the possibility of this rally. "We're not going for stricter rules, but we are called to advocate the abolition of abortion." Dorenbos said.
His wife leads the Cry for Life help center, which provides counseling to women and girls who considering an abortion or are post-abortive. The Scripture based course Forgiving and Free helps hurt woman through the forgiving love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Speakers expressed their support from organizations Christians for Truth and HVC. Speakers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Sweden, India and the United States addressed the crowd. Key note speaker Dr. P.P. Job from India, directed us to the Christmas message by telling of John the Baptist who jumped in the womb in gladness at the age of six months when Mary, just expecting Jesus, came to visit his mother Elizabeth. Dr. Job warned that soon the Dutch will be nominating a Muslim president, owing to the declining birthrates in Europe.
Abortion denies a child the right to life, was the echoing message. Two post-abortive mothers from the United States America witnessed of the emotional consequences for years in which they suffered, physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually. Now, after their conversion, they move with organization Operation Outcry around the world to tell the world that abortion is never the solution.
At 14.00 o'clock the March started off through the center of The Hague. The silent March caught the attention of shoppers who stood by watching, impressed by the dignified atmosphere spread by the March. After returning to the square the Dutch politicians Cees van der Staaij of the SGP and Joel Voordewind of the CU spoke, clearly encouraged by the large number of people who stood up for life, furthering the need for attention of discussing the abortion issue in the Parliament. Evangelist Jacques Brunt ended with a powerful call from the Scriptures to be intercessors for our country and people.
The organizers were pleased with the growing number of Marches in the Netherlands. An estimated number of 1.400 people participated.
The police were well prepared and had to deal with small incidents caused by counter protestors prior the March.
